The first graders at Marquette School in Chicago talked about graffiti art as seen in Chicago. They created their own versions of graffiti art, inspired by the project’s theme of Freedom — Merdeka in Indonesian — and part of Langston Hughe’s poem: “Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly”
