This blog is part of a joint project between Global Explorers Kids, Marquette School of Excellence, and Gagas Ceria Discovering English.

Global Explorers Kids is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Chicago dedicated to providing children with the opportunity to explore the diversity of the world’s peoples and helping them to understand and respect different cultures, using the arts as a catalyst towards learning. GEK teaches children about world cultures through the arts during school residencies, after school classes, community workshops, and a summer camp.

Marquette School of Excellence is a Chicago Public School serving children in grades K-8. Marquette is committed to providing all students access to a high quality education that embraces and enhances intercultural understanding and respect.

Gagas Ceria Discovering English is located in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. They teach English to Indonesian children ages 4-12. GDE was established with the awareness that English has become a needed skill  in the 21st century and the understanding that effective language learning must begin at an early age.
